Greyson Chance was in Norman, Oklahoma last night where he performed a small concert for a very big cause. Rumors started early yesterday afternoon that Greyson was performing in Norman, but only Greyson’s #1 Fansite has the story for you first!
Taking a short break from the recording studio, Greyson headed back to his home state of Oklahoma where he stopped by the University of Oklahoma fraternity Delta Tau Delta to put on a concert. Greyson’s brother, Tanner Chance is a member of the fraternity.
The concert which was cleverly titled, A Chance for a Cause was a fundraiser for an organization that helps children with cancer. Tanner told News 9, a local news station that childhood cancer is something near and dear to Greyson.
“Greyson really wants to help children’s cancer, and he knows he has a fortunate time ahead of him and he really feels he needs to give back to the community,” said Tanner.
Greyson responded to his brothers comments, saying “This is my dream. I’m blessed to be here, and I’ll to anything to keep it going.” At one point in the performance emotions almost get the best of Greyson when he thanked the crowd for their support and appeared to become almost teary eyed, realizing how fortunate he really is.
In an interview with News 9 Greyson was asked about his upcoming album. Greyson said, “We have the single ready to be out pretty soon. I can’t tell you a date, and I can’t tell you a name yet but it’s going to be out here pretty soon. The album is still coming along. I’m working with producers and everyone is so kind, and everyone respects one another.”
At the start of the concert Greyson was introduced to the screaming crowd of mostly college girls. Greyson took his seat at the piano, water bottle in hand. Giving the college a little piece of internet history, Greyson performed his rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” as well as a few other new songs off his upcoming album.
It didn’t surprise us when we learned that Greyson agreed to do this concert for his brother Tanner. Aside from it being for a great cause… if you recall, Tanner is the one that got in contact with Ellen DeGeneres about 5 months ago and sent her the video of Greyson singing at the Edmond Music Festival. It was this video that eventually landed Greyson a record deal.
Greyson is scheduled to return to Los Angeles this weekend, but for now he’s enjoying the company of friends and family, two things that he’s missed most about Oklahoma aside from football!
So what did the fraternity think of the concert? Dylan Dunlap was in attendance and summed things up pretty well with just one word, “Amazing!”

ANd God Bless Greyson and Tanner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are amazing!!! Beyond your belief at the age that you are..
I am sure you have lived alot of lives previous to this one to be the wise and calm young prodigy that you are at age 12 when I first saw you on ‘Ellen’.
You compose yourself so well infront of a crowd it is like you were meant to be there all along…
I was going to wish you all the best…as many may, but I think I should say…’I wish you all the BEST’ in your future..as you have already made it….
Listen to your mentors and trust your instincts!!!! Be in control of your future…Learn to trust your instincts.. (that gut feeling), And don’t lose insight of who you are and where you started from.
Enjoy every moment of what you love!
Take care of yourself..always,
Angie.
