Greyson Chance to Co-Host SchoolJam USA Finals

Greyson Chance has teamed up with the National Association of Musical Merchants (NAMM) and will be co-hosting (and performing) at the third annual SchoolJam USA finals event alongside fellow singer/songwriter (and season-seven “American Idol” contestant) Shaun Barrowes!

The teen battle of the bands-style competition will take place in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California on January 21st, 2012!

SchoolJam USA is a national program that rewards aspiring teen musicians (ages 13-19) and promotes active participation in school programs.   The top eight finalist bands will perform live at Downtown Disney District in front of a panel of professional judges and hundreds of fans for the opportunity to take home the title of “Best Teen Band in the USA”.

This is what Greyson had to say about participating in the event:

“I am honored to be a part of a program with NAMM that is encouraging students to grow their musical talents,” Chance said. “Music is such an important part of my life and I am very excited to help shine the spotlight on some new talent – it’s important to me to support programs like SchoolJam USA and foster ongoing music education.”

Greyson Chance Rocks The Red Kettle for Salvation Army

Greyson Chance headlined the Rock the Red Kettle concert on December 17th at Universal’s CityWalk.  Greyson was joined by a familiar face and friend, Cody Simpson as well as Honor Society, Drake Bell and Colbie Caillat.

The nights events were in support of The Salvation Army’s 120th Red Kettle Campaign.  The campaign is the oldest annual charitable fundraiser of its kind in the United States and money raised helps the organization assist 30 million people in need every year!

If you know Greyson like we do then you won’t be surprised to hear that he caused a little trouble with security again!  It seems like Greyson is becoming notorious for ignoring the orders of security to please his fans.  Greyson said that it felt so good to spend time with his fans and he took several pictures with them despite security telling him not to!

Checkout some of these awesome photos (courtesy of socialite) of Greyson at the event!

They certainly saved the best for last, Greyson followed Cody Simpson to round out a night of some great music.  You can find the entire concert below however you can skip to about 01:48 to see our main man, Greyson Chance!

Greyson Chance Performs at ACLU Bill of Rights Dinner

Greyson Chance performed at the ACLU Bill of Rights Dinner on December 12th, 2011.

The event took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverley Hills, California.  In celebration of the 220th Anniversary of the Bill of Rights, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California hosted a dinner to pay tribute to several award recipients.  Greyson was the evenings special musical guest performer!

One of the recipients of the 2011 Bill of Rights Award was Troy Carter, the CEO of Atom Factory and Greyson’s manager! (Congrats Mr. Carter!)

We understand this event was pretty high class (check out Greyson’s slick black suite) and tickets ranged from $300 – $1000 to attend the four hour long dinner.
