Greyson Chance Performs at Taste of Chicago

Greyson Chance performed at the nation’s premier outdoor food festival, Taste of Chicago on July 3rd, 2011!

The event took place at Chicago’s beautiful Grant Park on the city’s lakefront, it has been home to the world’s largest food festival since 1980.

Greyson delivered a complete and stunning performance for all those in attendance.  Among the songs Greyson performed included his famous covers of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi, Augustana’s Fire and Alicia Keys’ Empsire State of Mind… and there’s more!  Greyson also performed some of his newest songs including Cheyenne, Unfriend You, I Wanna Be Where You Are and Heart Like Stone.

There were some “classics” in the mix though including the first song Greyson ever posted to YouTube before hitting it big, Broken Hearts.  The song which everyone seemed to really sing along with though was his hit single Waiting Outside The Lines. (Probably because it’s been out for a while now and everyone knows the words!)

Here are a few videos from the days events!

Things are beginning to wind down on tour, there’s only 7 performances left as part of the official tour schedule but Greyson isn’t missing a beat and he’s bringing more enthusiasm and experience to each show.

Greyson Chance Performs in Kansas City, Premieres New Song

Greyson Chance wrapped up his first concert on the road in Kansas City, MO last night.

Performing for a packed house in K-City, Greyson performed some of his most famous songs including his original ‘Broken Hearts” and covers of ‘Fire” and ‘Paparazzi’.  Greyson also performed a new song off his upcoming debut album and sources tell us that that the name of this new soon to be hit is ‘Unfriend You’.

We just finished up listening to ‘Unfriend You’ and we’re absolutely blown away!  First off, Greyson’s band did a superb job!  During this piece Greyson was on his feet the entire time, away from his usual comfy piano seat.  It was awesome to see Greyson really get into the song and the crowd responded amazingly to it all.  ‘Unfriend You’ is sure to be a hit and we can’t wait to get our hands on the studio version of the song which we expect will be on Greyson’s album.

After the show Greyson sent us a message letting us know that he thought the first show went good and that Kansas City came to rock!  There isn’t much rest in Greyson’s schedule though, he’ll be performing in Minnesota tonight at the State Theatre following a meet-and-greet at the Mall of America at 4pm.

Greyson Chance Returns to The Ellen Show

Greyson Chance is scheduled to appear on The Ellen Show tomorrow, October 5th, 2010.

We received a heads up from two of our loyal readers, “Mapender” and Meredith this evening letting us know that Greyson would be making his return appearance, how exciting is that!?  This will be Greyson’s third time visiting Ellen DeGeneres on her nationally televised talk show.  If you recall, during the first visit we were introduced to Greyson when he performed his rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”.  During Greyson’s second visit to The Ellen Show he performed his originally composed song, “Broken Hearts“, won $10,000 and landed a record deal!

Since his last appearance a few months back Greyson has been busy recording his debut album in Los Angeles, California, taking part in photoshoots and giving us the low down in interviews with various media outlets.

Ellen will be talking to Greyson about everything that has been happening recently, including his album and performance at the We Day celebration in Toronto, Canada last week.  We received word that Greyson’s first single was going to be released sometime in early October, so don’t be surprised if we get more information about that either!  (I sure hope we do!)  In any event, we’ll have a complete recap of Greyson’s visit to Ellen shortly after the show airs, so stay tuned to Greyson’s #1 Fansite for the very latest.  We always have all the details first!

Greyson Chance Premieres New Song

Greyson Chance premiered a brand new, original song on August 20th at the YouTube corporate offices.

A couple weeks ago we told you that Greyson stopped by the YouTube offices in San Francisco, California where he performed a few of his songs live for the staff. We already knew that Greyson performed his self-composed song “Broken Hearts” and his rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”.  Did you also know that the teen singer premiered a brand new song?

Community member “mapender” sent us a link to the video below which features Greyson Chance at YouTube singing a brand new self-composed song. Greyson told us that this song is about a child from New York whose mother abandons him at an adoption agency.

If you recall, Greyson found inspiration for another song of similar topic entitled “Past” which he wrote after watching a commercial for child abuse.  That song is about a child who was abused but breaks free and doesn’t let his past affect him.  Greyson premiered “Past” for the ladies of BlogHer 10’ earlier this month.

Which song do you like better?  Leave a comment!

These two songs by Greyson Chance are so emotional and inspirational.  It almost brings a tear to your eye if you listen carefully to the lyrics.  It’s amazing that a thirteen year old could write and sing songs of this nature with such emotion and passion.  We’ll post lyrics for these two songs as soon as possible. In the meantime checkout some other Greyson Chance News or perhaps some Greyson Chance Photos.

Behind the Scenes with Greyson Chance at BlogHer

We just got our hands on some behind the scenes footage featuring Greyson Chance at BlogHer ’10 thanks to ConsumerQueen!

In the first video we see Greyson getting briefed backstage before he performs his cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and his original songs, “Broken Hearts” and “Past” for the folks at the BlogHer conference.  Greyson then gives a shout out to his friends back home in Edmond, Oklahoma and lets them know he is coming home for his birthday on August 16th.

One of the funniest parts of the video is when the host tells Greyson that the room is being filled by female bloggers (1:28)… Greyson cracks a huge smile and gets super excited!  It looks like Greyson had a blast!

In the last part of the video we get to see Greyson close up as he performs his cover of Paparazzi!
