Greyson Chance J-14 Exclusive Q&A

Greyson Chance recently chatted it up with the J-14 crew about his new partnership with social networking site Everloop, his experience in the studio with Ariana Grande, and what we can expect from him in the way of new music!

J-14: What made you want to be a part of Everloop?
Greyson Chance: I’m super excited to get involved with Everloop. I love the program. It’s a great social network — even for kids younger than me. If you have a Facebook, you need a little more responsibility, but Everloop is a young social network that is great for kids. It’s really important for young people to feel safe online, and they can do that on Everloop.

J-14: Do you have any advice for teens who are battling bullies online?
Greyson: The best advice is if you don’t like what you’re seeing online, then don’t get online. It’s not fun, but it’s what you kind of have to do in this world today.

J-14: We heard you have some new music on the way! Can you give us details?
Greyson: There’s gonna be some new music coming soon, but I don’t want to give too many details quite yet! But I can tell you that it’s going to be a bit different from the last album.

J-14: You recently recorded a song with your good friend, Ariana Grande! What was that experience like?
Greyson:Ariana is a blast and we always have a good time. That was a really fun recording session. We wrote a song completely from scratch, and it has a really vintage sound. We recorded it in the same room with two different mics, so it has a great sound.

J-14: Who else are you a fan of right now?
Greyson: I’m a huge fan of Taylor Swift - it would be incredible to do a duet with her. And I love One Direction! I love their first single [„What Makes You Beautiful"].

Greyson Chance on GADIS Magazine Cover

Greyson Chance has graced the cover of several magazines across the nation during his young career and he has done it again, this time covering Gadis Magazine!

Gadis is a teen women’s lifestyle magazine published in Indonesia.  Greyson is on the cover of the New Year’s edition rocking a sweet haircut alongside the beautiful Suri.

Greyson Chance on Cover of Kawanku Magazine

Greyson Chance and his buddy, Cody Simpson are on the cover of Kawanku Magazine’s special birthday edition (issue 104, published July 27th).

Kawanku is a very popular Indonesian magazine; and for those that don’t know, Greyson is very popular in Indonesia!

The duo of Greyson and Cody were selected to cover this special edition through a poll held by Kawanku of its readers.  There is a complete profile of Greyson and Cody inside as well as pin ups!

While we don’t believe this magazine is available in the United States, for those that can check it out, it looks awesome!

Greyson is international!!!

Greyson Chance Popstar Interview at MTV Movie Awards

Greyson Chance attended the MTV Movie Awards on June 5th and had the opportunity to meet some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.  Greyson also walked the red carpet with the stars and was gobbled up by all the press eager to interview the young singer.  Popstar Magazine has followed Greyson with us from the start and they just released their carpet chat with him.

Recapping the Waiting4U Tour, Greyson said that he had a blast on the road with Cody Simpson but is now looking forward to the August 2nd release of his debut album Hold on ‘Til The Night!  The title song “Hold on “Til The Night” is Greyson’s favorite song on the album, so be sure to look for that!

On the carpet Greyson said that he wanted to meet Emma Watson, one of the stars from his favorite movie series, Harry Potter. (In case you didn’t read our earlier post, he did meet her!)

As far as where Greyson would go on tour if he had to choose somewhere on the spot, he said Paris, France! (Greyson loves his French fans!)

To finish up Greyson was asked what the biggest jaw dropping moment for him has been so far; Greyson said it’s all been pretty jaw dropping but after the release of his first album, he’s sure that will take the cake!

Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson Talk to BOP and Tiger Beat Magazine

Greyson Chance and his new friend Cody Simpson sat down together before their performance at The Grove and spoke with ‘BOP and Tiger Beat’ magazine.

The dynamic duo told BOPTV that they love when their fans give them support on stage; they feed off the crowd’s energy and the fans mean the world to them.

They also shared their favorite songs by each other; Greyson’s favorite song by Cody is All Day while Cody thinks Greyson’s single Waiting Outside The Lines is “incredible”.

If you ever wondered how the two met and became such good friends, Cody spills the beans on that one too!  They organized to go out to dinner in Santa Monica at a Mexican restaurant one night.  They got along really and the rest is history!  Cody is excited to “do a lot more things together in the future” with Greyson.

At the end Greyson talked about an embarrassing moment with Miranda Cosgrove on the Dancing Crazy Tour.  You’ll have to checkout the video below to find out what it is!

Greyson Chance Backstage Interview with GL Magazine

Girls Life Magazine’s Caitlin and Trish chatted it up with Greyson Chance on the road backstage at a recent performance on the Dancing Crazy Tour.

Cailtlin and Trish told us that the 13-year-old superstar is “beyond cute” and super talented.  Greyson talked with Caitlin and Trish about life on the road with Miranda Cosgrove, his Gatorade obsession, his adoring fans and so much more!

Did you know that Greyson listens to lots of old vinyl records on the tour bus, plays xBox all the time and even got in an accident recently?

Greyson Chance On The Cover of Metro Family Magazine

Greyson Chance is “gracing” the cover of the February 2011 edition of Metro Family Magazine!

“Meet pop sensation Greyson Chance, a local teen making a national impact with his music” is printed predominantly on the cover and is underlayed with a familiar photo of the teen singer.  No only is Greyson covering the February issue, but the magazine also did a two page spread (pages 16-17) of Greyson which is complete with an interview. 

The magazine is also holding a contest where fans can win tickets to an upcoming show at Edmond Santa Fe High School!

MFM: How did you become interested in music and the performing arts? Who were some of your biggest influences?
Greyson: I’ve been singing as long as I can remember and I started playing piano when I was around eight years old. I really started to explore different artists and styles of music a few years later. Some of my earliest musical influences were The Beatles and Journey.

MFM: How did your parents encourage your interest and talents? How did they help you to achieve your goals?
Greyson: Both of my parents are very supportive of me. My mother has always been really into music and theater—she‘s always given me advice about how to be a better performer.

MFM: What has life been like with the successes and opportunities that you have had? How do you feel like your life compares to that of other teenagers?
Greyson: It’s been great! I’m so excited to be able to live out my dream. My life is different than other teenagers because I do school online and I’m constantly traveling, but in many ways it hasn’t changed—if I get in trouble, my parents take away my phone or computer!

MFM: What is the best and most memorable experience you have had since your rise to fame? What has been most difficult?
Greyson: Going into the studio and creating music is the most incredible experience. I’m very lucky to be able to do it. It’s been hard getting used to constantly being away from my friends and family.

MFM: What do you see as the most important thing that the arts can offer for someone your age?
Greyson: Music for me has always been a way to express how I feel, I think it’s great for someone my age to have some sort of creative outlet.

MFM: What advice do you have for other kids who are interested in trying to make their mark in music and the performing arts?
Greyson: Keep on following your dreams and don’t let anyone put you down or tell you that you can’t do it!

Greyson Chance Featured in Dream Up and Star French Magazines

Greyson Chance is officially an international superstar, recently featured in French Magazines “Dream Up” and “Star”.

If you recall, Greyson Chance recently visited France, his second trip outside of the United States. (The first was his trip to Canada when he performed at WeDay).  During Greyson’s time in France he visited two of the biggest teen magazines, “Dream Up” and “Star”; each decided to cover the teen superstar in a recent issue of there popular magazine.

Greyson graciously graces the cover of Star magazine, he’s right next to fellow superstars Justin Bieber and Rhianna!  While Greyson didn’t make the cover of DreamUp magazine, they did do what appears to be a very in depth story on him.

Greyson Chance Captures International Spotlight in Germany’s Bravo Magazine

Greyson Chance has come a long way since performing on stage at the Edmond music festival only a short time ago.  The small town teen has gone from virtually unknown to hanging in the big leagues with some of the music industry’s most notable stars like Lady Gaga.  Since capturing the United States media spotlight, Greyson has quickly become a household name in other parts of the world as well.

On August 5th when we ran a statistics check on Greyson’s #1 Fan Site, we told you that Germany was around the #7 most popular country for Greyson Chance Fans.  Recently we came across an article in Germany’s Bravo magazine featuring Greyson Chance and pop star Cody Simpson side-by-side.

Unfortunately nobody on the Greyson Chance Fan Site development team spoke German, so we reached out to one of our community members, Arjin who does.  Arjin is a huge Greyson Chance fan and graciously sent us a synopsis of the article.

The article is a two-page spread with huge photos of Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson standing next to each other.  The article talks about Greyson and Cody’s “Friendship Pact against Justin Bieber”.  While we presume the magazine was only injecting a bit of humor here, (Greyson and Cody have publicly said several times that they respect Justin and all that he’s accomplished), they both are on the same path as they work diligently to achieve their music goals.

Reading on the article jokes about Greyson and Cody’s goal to conquer the hearts of girls.  BravoMag still credits Justin Bieber with the “Greatest Girls Swarm in the World” award.  Do you agree with that?  How long will Justin hold this award?

By the day Greyson is popping up in magazines and other forms of print media all over the world.  With this international media blitz surrounding Greyson, his popularity and fan base is growing by the day.  Just earlier this week we highlighted one of Brazil’s biggest Greyson Chance fans.

Once Greyson’s debut album drops this upcoming holiday season, those that have been living under a rock the past few months will finally see what this teen singing sensation we call Greyson Chance is all about.  If you think he’s been all over the media now, just wait!
